About

I’ve been a player of The Sims for a long time – going back to the original game released in the year 2000. I’ve always loved taking photos of my sims, to capture moments in their lives, for both important milestones and smaller everyday minutiae.

Things really took off during my time with The Sims 2, which featured a story exchange where you could upload your sims’ photo albums and share them with the rest of the community. I had a blast telling the stories of my various sim households, which were all interconnected and part of the same persistent world.

Now, with The Sims 4, I still want to share the stories about my sims living their everyday lives. Sharing content with the community has shifted towards self-publishing where we have our own blogs or social media, so that’s how this blog came to be.

Mods

I like my game to work the way I want it to – and mainly that’s being free of annoying bugs. When I encounter a game bug, I make sure to report it at the official bug report forums for The Sims 4 over at EA Answers HQ.

It can often take a long time for the developers to patch the game with a proper fix, and for some really urgent issues, I just can’t wait that long. So I learnt how to mod my game and create workarounds or find out what is wrong and fix it.

There were also a few things I found that I could tweak and change that made the game more fun for me.

I decided to share the mods I made here, so that other people can play the game the way I do too.

Photo story

Each day, I’ll share an update featuring a photo and a caption of a moment from one of my sim households. Over time, I hope that this builds into a continuous story which features all the sims in my game.

I mostly just make this blog for myself, so that I have a place where I can go and relive moments from my sims’ lives. But if you’re interested to follow it too, then visit Days of Their Lives!

    1. It depends on which fixes you’re talking about, but you can always take out any mods you’re wondering about and see if anything changes, and put them back if you need to. Just back up your saves first or create a separate save, just in case you need to roll back.

    1. You can check the Status page to see details for every mod on the site.

I make tuning mods, and since these are not script mods like UI Cheats or MCCC, they usually don’t break when the game patches.

If you downloaded it a long time ago and think it’s no longer working correctly, try downloading it again to refresh. Even though the mod might not have changed, the game might want the downloaded file in your mods folder to be fresher than the updated game files.

  1. Hey! There’s a bug I think should be easy to fix but don’t know how.. Sims don’t watch TV autonomously anymore, this is not a mod related issue, I tested it. Could you consider find a fix till EA make their work..? I already have reported this in The Sims 4 Bug Reports

    1. I can’t see anything wrong with the interaction sims use to autonomously pick a TV channel and start watching. I’m playing right now and after returning home from off-lot, one of my sims is watching the politics channel on the TV.

  2. Hi!

I wonder if you can do a fix for the graduation event in the game. My teen sim aging up, I have a pop up for aspiration, trait, but nothing about graduation. I have no notification about graduation, no diploma and no event.

Is it something possible to fix?

    Thanks a lot!

    1. Are you sure you just haven’t waited long enough to see the ceremony appear on the calendar? I haven’t had any teens graduate yet, but I’ve heard that the ceremony happens on the Sunday a week after your sim ages up to young adult.

  3. Yes because I have no notification when they grow up. And I waited a long time after. Nothing.
