Growth Fertilizers Fix

Fixes an issue that prevents using Minor Growth Fertilizer and Hyper Growth Fertilizer to fertilize oversized crops.

Bug

You can receive Minor Growth Fertilizer and Hyper Growth Fertilizer as rewards for errands or as gifts. But when you try to use it to fertilize your oversized crops, it pops back into your inventory without being consumed and did not have any effect on the plants at all (they remain unfertilized).

It seems like they forgot to include outcomes for using this type of fertilizer in the game tuning. There are instructions for what the game should do with vitality, hassle-free and grow-fast fertilizers, but missing instructions for growth fertilizers. That’s why they don’t do anything at all. You can read more about this bug on EA Answers HQ: Growth fertilizers are not consumed on use and have no effect on crops.

This mod adds in missing effects for using Minor Growth and Hyper Growth Fertilizer. I had to guess what they are meant to do based on their catalogue description. They say that using these daily should boost the chances of your crop’s size and weight increasing, so that’s what I’ve tried to make them do. The Minor Growth Fertilizer has a small effect on increasing your crop’s size and weight chances. The Hyper Growth does the same thing, but with a much larger effect.
