Prevents sims arriving at club gatherings from spawning on a bicycle.

Bug (or by design?)

It’s unclear if this is a bug or just a strange design choice, but sims you aren’t currently controlling can potentially spawn riding a bicycle when they arrive at club gatherings.

This wastes some time for them while they sit on their cycles for a moment after spawning in, and then decide to get off and put the bike away and actually start doing their club activities. It doesn’t really serve any purpose for them to arrive on a bike, as they spawn in directly at the venue entrance and have no need to pedal anywhere.

This mod makes a small change to the tuning file for situation job “alternative spawn behaviour” which lists a selection of NPC arrival situations where they wanted bicycles to sometimes happen instead of regular walking. It removes club gatherings from that list.

* This bug has been fixed in patch update 1.68.154.1020 (November 2020)

Notes

• This mod fix is for players who own both Get Together and Discover University expansion packs on PC/Mac since game update version 1.58.63.1010.
• The mod rewrites the tuning file for the situation job module. If you have any other mods that change the same tuning file, they may clash with this mod.
• I’ve heard that another modder, coolspear, also made a mod for the same thing a while ago, but has stopped supporting it, which is why I’ve decided to upload my version. I made this independently and have been using in my own game for a while now.
• This issue has been officially fixed in game update 1.68.154.1020, which means this mod is no longer needed.

Downlading and installing the mod

Download the mod package file and place it in your Mods folder for The Sims 4, found in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods.

If you have game update 1.68.154.1020 (or newer) then this mod is no longer required. Sims will no longer spawn on bikes when arriving at club gatherings.
